IS has killed more than 11,600 civilians and carried out 165 executions in Iraq

(VOVworld) – The UN Information Center in Tehran has accused the Islamic State of genocidal crime for having killed at least 11,600 Iraqi civilians and wounding 21,700 others in 2014.

(VOVworld) – The UN Information Center in Tehran has accused the Islamic State of genocidal crime for having killed at least 11,600 Iraqi civilians and wounding 21,700 others in 2014.

In a report released on Tuesday, the center said at least 165 executions have been carried out by IS controlled courts in recent months. The report referred to documents that prove IS’s human rights violations which included the attacks on civilians, abductions, trafficking of women and children, looting, and destroying religious and cultural sites.
