Meanwhile, “The Australian” newspaper stressed that the former PM was a great contributor to Vietnam’s economic growth and Vietnam’s first prime minister to visit the US after the end of the war.
The BBC called him a technocrat with innovative thinking and great contributions to Vietnam’s economic and institution reforms and international integration. According to the BBC, Vietnam achieved a high and stable growth rate for years under the leadership of former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.
