The highlight will be the Hue Festival 2024 Week  from June 7 to 12, which is expected to gather artists from across Vietnam and abroad.

Over the past 24 years, the Hue Festival has become an established event in the global festival system, according to Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province.

"The Hue Festival must continue to renovate itself and promote its brand by boosting exchanges with other cultures in the world.  It is important to bring into full play heritages of Hue and other localities in Vietnam,” said Mr. Binh.

The same day, Hue authorities reenacted Ban Soc, a traditional calendar distribution ceremony of the Nguyen Dynasty, held regularly at the end of the lunar year.
