Three protest leaders, from left, Chan Kin-man, Benny Tai, and Chu Yiu-ming,

Benny Tai, Chan Kin-man, and Chu Yiu-ming said they decided to give in because they want to ensure the protesters’ safety and they respect the law. The 3 protest leaders were later freed. Dozens of protesters intend to give themselves up to the Hong Kong police. The “Occupy Central” movement began in Hong Kong on September 28 and has impeded Hong Kong’s traffic, stock market, tourism, and business activities with mass demonstrations in Hong Kong’s main streets.
