(VOVworld) – Hanoi received nearly 3 million tourists in the first quarter of this year, including 500,000 foreign tourists, the municipal department of culture, sports, and tourism said.

Hanoi, known as “the city for peace”, was ranked 4th out of 10 favourite destinations in 2015 by TripAdvisor users.
Hanoi is promoting its tourism by attending a seminar on tourism promotion in Binh Dinh and the 2015 Ho Chi Minh City tourism festival. It has also promoted its tourism in Zhangjiajie city in China’s Hunan province and at the 3rd ASEM Mayors & Governors Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, and has signed a tourism co-operation agreement with Tokyo’s municipal authority.
