The meeting said communications have focused on improving the world community understanding about Vietnam’s foreign relations policy, particularly the 5th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee, the 3rd session of the 15th National Assembly, the 31st Southeast Asian Games and the Year of Friendship between Vietnam and Laos and Cambodia.

Widespread information dissemination will convince expatriates to have more confidence in the leadership of the Party and State and in citizen protection, and illuminate the traditional values of sharing and caring, according to the meeting.

The Steering Committee’s Deputy Chairman Nguyen Que Lam talked about tasks for the 2nd half of the year.

“Further communications on Vietnam’s relations with Laos and Cambodia during the Friendship Year, promotion of communications on Vietnam’s image to the world and foster links with overseas Vietnamese community as well as better communications on religious, ethnic, democracy human rights issues and Vietnam’s political tasks in its bid for UN Human Rights Council in the 2023 – 2025 term”

To conclude the meeting, Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Information and Education Commission requested that a foreign relations information strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2045 be submitted to the Politburo later this year.
