The Prime Minister praised Mr. Lien’s devotion and contributions to enriching Vietnam’s cultural archives. He promised to invest in Mr. Lien’s research project to further preserve and promote folk culture. Mr. Nguyen Hai Lien was born in Quang Nam province, the cradle of Bai choi singing. He has over the past more than 40 years studied folk culture of different ethnic groups, particularly culture and relics of the Cham ethnic minority people.
