Born last Sunday, the baby langur weighs nearly 300 grams. According to Tilo Nadler, German wildlife conservation expert and a member of the primate reintegration group of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), this is is a good sign, greatly contributing to the conservation of biodiversity in Trang An eco-tourism complex, creating a foundation for restoring and establishing a new population of the endemic primates in Trang An. Delacour langur has been listed by the IUCN as critically endangered species.

Scientifically known as Trachypithecus delacouri, Delacour langur is a primate endemic to Vietnam. It has been listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world and classified as critically endangered.

There are only about 300 individuals, 200 of whom are mainly living in Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve in Ninh Binh province and the remaining are inhabiting in the forest area of Ha Nam province.
