(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) has warned domestic exporters that the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has revised the list of countries entitled to tariff preferences under the Generalised Scheme Preferences (GSP) after October 12.

The list includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan, but Vietnam will be removed from it, which is likely to have a tremendous impact on Vietnamese exporters to EAEU members, particularly Russia, Vietnam’s biggest customer in the bloc.

The Agency advised Vietnamese exporters to explore tariff preferences and corresponding preferential rules of origin under the EAEU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement in place of the GSP.
