The EC called for the deployment of child protection officers at migrant reception centers in countries such as Greece and Italy.
A network across Europe will be established to exchange information about children arriving in the EU without a family. The EC said every child should be given access to legal assistance, healthcare, psychosocial support, and education as early as possible after arrival.
