(VOVworld) – Vietnamese enterprises have paid insufficient attention to intangible assets such as intellectual property, technology patents, and trademarks, according to participants at a workshop in Hanoi Tuesday on trademark development and advertising.

Participants suggested that to develop global brands that are distinctively Vietnamese, domestic businesses should apply internationally recognized business techniques and know potential markets and customers’ tastes in detail.

Pham Thi Thu Hang, Secretary General of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “We should change our way of thinking about trademark development, from small-scale marketing to strategic long-term vision, to build a brand as a master plan.
