This is the 13th consecutive year which Da Nang has secured first place in the ratings of the country’s 63 cities and provinces, according to a report released by the Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) and the Authority of Information Technology and Communications Industry.
The coastal city continued to lead the way, followed by other localities such as Can Tho, Quang Ninh, and Thua Thien – Hue.
Launched in 2005 and based on UN criteria, the Vietnam ICT Index assesses technical infrastructure, human resource infrastructure, IT application, online public services delivery, and the IT industry in cities and provinces.
The central city’s software export turnover in August reached more than 97 million USD, up 31.5% year on year and fulling 66.7% of the set plan, according to the municipal administration.
