Da Nang has set up cooperative relationships with 48 localities in 22 countries and territories and has been recognized as Vietnam’s “smart city”, said Cuong, adding that he hopes the Minister will continue to be a bridge to cooperation with Swedish partners.

“The main focus should be on tourism, the environment, infrastructure development, and on helping promote Da Nang to Swedish businesses and investors,” said Cuong.

Mr. Carlson said that, in its new strategy on trade, investment, and global competitiveness, Sweden is focused on the Asian region and Vietnam is an important partner.

“The Swedish resource base within the field of smart infrastructure solutions span across various sectors, such as spatial planning, energy, mobility, waste management, water, air, and digitalization, just to mention a few,” said Mr. Carlson.

“There is a broad Swedish company interest to provide solutions for infrastructure development in Vietnam, in those sectors that we already talked about. I would like to introduce and let the delegates present a little bit more what we can offer and what they can offer in a good cooperation ahead,” according to the Swedish minister.
