50 lifeguards from Vietnam, Australia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Taiwan (China) went through various challenges including swimming, running, and paddleboarding.

The competition serves as an opportunity for Vietnamese rescue teams to exchange experiences and skills with their foreign counterparts, while promoting Da Nang as a "Safe - Civilized - Attractive" destination.

Nguyen Duc Vu, Head of the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang's tourism beaches, said that as Da Nang is entering the peak season of beach tourism, it places great emphasis on enhancing rescue skills to ensure maximum safety for tourists.

"Rescuers need skills and physical fitness. We have organized training sessions lectured by experts from Australia, which has a highly skilled and professional rescue force,” said Vu.
