The program included a requiem and an art performance. Le Quoc Truong, a brother of one of the martyrs said: “At this sacred moment, I am very moved by the martyrs’ sacrifices for the fatherland. This program also honors the lives of martyrs’ relatives. The fallen soldiers set a bright example for us to follow.”
On November 14, 1972, a cave where 8 young volunteers were taking shelter was bombed by the US army. A giant rock blocked the cave entrance and the volunteers died of hunger and thirst.
