Acting President receives outgoing ambassadors of Japan, Algeria

(VOVWORLD) -Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan on Wednesday met Japanese Ambassador Yamada Takio and Algerian Ambassador Abdelhamid Boubazine who came to say goodbye as their working terms in Vietnam end.

Talking to Yamada Takio, Acting President Xuan applauded the Ambassador's affection, enthusiasm and efforts in boosting multifaceted relations between Vietnam and Japan.

She cited the upgrade of bilateral relationship to "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world" and celebrations of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties in 2023.

At a meeting with Abdelhamid Boubazine, Acting President Xuan said Vietnam and Algeria have a long, close, traditional relationship and supported each other during the years of struggle for independence.

She emphasized the two sides’ tremendous potential for economic and trade cooperation, especially in energy and agriculture. The Acting President expressed her hope that the two countries will continue to forge closer cooperation, elevate relations, and support each other in the international arena.
