The annual event honors young people responsible for outstanding achievements and initiatives in the field of agriculture. This year, the award was presented to 42 individuals who serve as role models in agricultural startups and businesses.  

First prize went to Tran Thi Diu of Dak Nong province for her project on the research and development of freeze-dried durian products.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong said the achievements of nearly 40 years of renewal received substantial contributions from 16 million rural youth.

"Young people are encouraged and supported to initiate and expand various forms of economic development cooperation, develop economic models, including small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives, arms, and teams of young intellectuals volunteering to drive the development of agriculture, in mountainous areas, and in border and island regions," he said.
