Leaders of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan, the ASEAN-Japan Center and local leaders focused on sharing experiences in attracting investment from Japan, the investment environment and tax and financial benefits of Quang Ninh compared to other localities. Representatives of leading Japanese corporations such as Marubeni, Sojitz, KDDI, Yazaki, and Mitsubishi voiced their concerns directly to the Quang Ninh provincial administration.
Nguyen Xuan Ky, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, said the conference is a specific measure to immediately implement the Joint Statement between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio in November. He promised the most favorable conditions for Japanese investors.
“Industries that Japanese businesses need to invest in Quang Ninh will be made a priority and we will adopt a policy to support them in human resources, training and re-training, to meet Japanese businesses’ needs for high quality, skilled workers,” Mr. Ky said.
