(VOVWORLD) - Duy Tien War Invalid Nursing Center, in the northern province of Ha Nam, was established in 1957 under the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Formerly known as the Nam Ha wounded nursing area, the center is responsible for receiving, treating, nurturing, rehabilitating, and implementing policies for seriously wounded soldiers with a working capacity decline of over 81% in Vietnam.

During its peak period, the Center took care of nearly 700 heavily wounded soldiers. Currently it is taking care of 60 soldiers from 13 provinces and cities nationwide.

War has long gone, but its wounds still hurt soldiers' bodies. Some lost both eyes, some lost both legs, some are living in the phobia of war because of a traumatic brain injury.
