Other topics included what strategies the Vietnamese government should adopt to ensure that high-quality human resources participate in the development and application of AI technology.
Deputy Director of the National Innovation Center (NIC) Vo Xuan Hoai said at the opening ceremony of "The Future of Generative AI 2023", organized by the NIC and the Vietnam Innovation Network in Silicon Valley.
“Speakers at the conference, particularly those from the US’s Silicon Valley, agreed that Vietnam is second in Southeast Asia after Singapore in the application of AI to economic and social issues,” said Hoai.
He added, “Vietnam has a good strategy for, and is prepared for, AI application development. Universities offer AI courses and many Vietnamese entrepreneurs, and engineers have returned home from the US to work with the NIC on AI training programs like Thuc Vu of Viet AI, Hung Tran of Got It, or Kim of Co-host AI. We are also collaborating with Google to implement a program to improve digital skills and providing more than 20,000 AI scholarships nationwide.”
The conference was an opportunity to talk with representatives of technology companies from Silicon Valley about the latest trends in AI products and how to use AI to improve business operations and develop markets.
