General Bui Quoc Oai (L) hands over a national flag to Tho Chu fishermen.

“We hope that local fishermen will better understand regulations on combating illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing to help Vietnam boost seafood exports to the EU,” said General Bui Quoc Oai, political commissar of Vietnam Coast Guard.  

The delegation offered incense at a temple dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh, people killed by the Pol Pot genocidal regime, and previous generations who sacrificed their lives to protect national sovereignty over sea and islands.
