Participants were briefed about the importance of defending Vietnam’s sea and islands and related Party guidelines and state policies.

Nguyen Ngoc Tram, a student at Tra Vinh Medical College, said, "I learned that the Party and State have given much attention to national sea and island defense and the lives of coastal residents and fishermen."

The session also taught her that the world needs to know that the Spratly and Paracel archipelagoes belong to Vietnam, Tram added.
