Malaysian tourists arrive in Phu Quoc |
Airlines have increased flights to Phu Quoc significantly. In the first half of the year, the island received over 1,900 international flights, a 186% increase compared to the same period last year.
Phu Quoc International Airport expects 22-26 international flights per day in the latter half of the year, surpassing early-year figures. The increase is particularly notable from the South Korean and Taiwanese (China) markets.
Recently, Eastar Jet began operating flights from Cheongju, Korea, to Phu Quoc with a frequency of 4 flights per week.
This marks the fourth Korean airline offering direct flights to Phu Quoc, joining Korean Air, Jin Air, and Jeju Air. Additionally, Vietravel Airlines has started flights connecting Taipei, Taiwan (China) and Phu Quoc, with a frequency of 3 flights per week, continuing until August 2025.
