Ninh Thuan, with its 100km coastline, will focus on diversifying sea-related industries including energy development, new marine economic sectors, marine tourism, marine services, coastal industrial clusters, and marine mineral resources. 

Local authorities have viewed marine economic sectors as a priority in the local economic growth. They have worked to attract investment in large-scale industrial projects applying advanced technology and encourage the development of seafood processing, salt production; and shipbuilding and repair. The province also aims to develop tourism into a spearhead economic sector.
