The contest which will run through the end of August is open for Vietnamese citizens aged between 16 and 35 years who are living in Vietnam.

Nguyen Tuan Quang, Deputy Director of the Climate Change Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, said, he hopes the contest will improve awareness of citizens about climate change.

“Outstanding, breakthrough proposals will be taken into consideration by the Climate Change Department and functional agencies to refer and integrate into strategies or plans,” said Quang.

Caitlin Wiesen, UNDP Resident Representative Vietnam, said at the launch event that the contest is one of the mains ways to unlock youth potential in promoting climate agendas. UNDP looks forward to receiving initiatives designed by local youth for a green Vietnam, said Caitlin Wiesen.
