During a working session with Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, Head of the European Union Delegation to Vietnam, the two officials discussed the implementation of the framework and orientations for Vietnam-EU cooperation to realize Vietnam’s commitments following the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 26). Minister Ha described Vietnam’s commitments at COP 26 as critically important to its national development and highly compatible with its plan for an environment-friendly, circular economy. He urged the EU to accelerate its projects with Vietnam in energy, clean transportation, conservation, afforestation, and climate change response. The Ministry asked the EU for more support for training, business capacity improvement, guidance of climate change response, and sustainable growth of exports to the European market.
