(VOVworld) – An awards ceremony for the 7th national tourism photography contest was held in Hanoi on Tuesday.
The contest, which marked the 56th anniversary of Vietnam’s tourism sector, was aimed at preparing materials to promote Vietnam’s tourist products in important markets. 11 out of 500 entries received prizes, which included 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes. First prize winner Nguyen Trang Kim Cuong said she hopes the entries will help tourists learn more about Vietnam’s world cultural heritages and visit the country: “When I was in My Son in May, I was moved to see a group of foreign tourists listening attentively to a tourist guide introducing the Champa culture and architecture. They were mesmerized by the Champa culture, which is very unique in Vietnam.”
96 outstanding entries were chosen for display at the Art and Photography Exhibition Center in Hanoi until July 9.
