At a United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) debate in Geneva on Thursday, Ngoc recommended increasing public awareness of climate change, its impacts on children, and international cooperation on the issue.

The event was proposed by Vietnam last June in a resolution on climate change and children rights.

He shared Vietnam’s experience in integrating children’s rights into climate change policies, including collaboration between the Vietnamese Government and the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and other partners in building child-centered strategies to mitigate natural disaster risks.
