The event will include a contest to write stories or make video clips to express patriotism, love for the motherland and experience of overseas Vietnamese supporting each other in misfortune. All Vietnamese at home and abroad as well as foreigners are eligible to join the contest by posting their stories or videos on their Facebook walls and sharing them on the Fanpage “Vietnam Ancestral Global Day” from April 2nd to May 31st.
Another program encourages all Vietnamese people inside and outside Vietnam to replace their avatar photo on Facebook by a logo of the “Vietnam Ancestral Global Day” on the Hung Kings’ Death Anniversary, the 10th day of the third lunar month or April 2nd.
The Vietnam Ancestral Global Day Project was established in 2015 by scholars and leaders of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in 7 countries.
