(VOVworld) – The 4th job fair for people with disabilities was held in Hanoi on Saturday. The fair consisted of various activities including free vocational training for 300 people with disabilities, job opportunities for 400 to 500 disabled people, free health consultation, and legal advice on state policies and mechanisms for people with disabilities.

People with disabilities need opportunities to integrate in to society

More than 200 disabled athletes joined a sport competition in Ho Chi Minh city. It’s a venue for young disables to show their advantages, overcome their inferiority complex, make friends, and integrate into society.

President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan met with a delegation of outstanding people with disabilities in Hanoi on Friday. He acknowledged the strong will and determination of millions of people with disabilities in Vietnam. He asked the Vietnam Federation on Disability to work with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs to build a database which is a reference for forming production models suitable for each type of disability.

Ho Chi Minh city hosted a charity performance entitled “One heart, one world” to rally social support for disabled people to develop themselves and integrate into society. The organizing board raised nearly 740,000 USD to donate to the fund for people with disabilities and orphans.
