Activities mark Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day

(VOVWORLD) - Various activities have been held nationwide to mark Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, November 23.

An exhibition is taking place in Hanoi Museum displaying national treasures featuring Thang Long-Hanoi imperial city. They are a Co Loa bronze drum and bronze ploughshares from the Dong Son Culture, a Thanh Mai bell dated in 798, a blue-and-white ceramic lampstand from the 16th century, and a Bat Trang ceramic imperial palace, a worshipping item of Bat Trang ceramics village in the 17th century. The models of some other national treasures are also being exhibited.

The same day, an exhibition was held at the Hue Monuments Conservation Center displaying around 100 documentary photos, drawings, mock-ups, and Kirigami paper models about the 100-year An Dinh Residence. The exhibit brings to the public new discoveries of the Residence in regards to history, architecture, sculpture, and graphic arts. An Dinh Residence has been recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage.
