All three used to work at the Culture and Society Department. Each has a different writing style but all are loved by listeners. Tran Nhat Minh is famous for his articles about social affairs: “I’ve tried to make my articles as analytical and detailed as possible. Besides, the use of literature in journalism makes the articles more emotional.”

Ngo Thieu Phong often writes about education and training: “I always try to find all the details related to whatever I write about. An issue should be studied from different angles and dimensions.”

Pham Trung Tuyen, meanwhile, impresses listeners with his emotional voice while reporting everyday stories: “Journalism is an interesting job. I got involved in journalism because I wanted to tell stories. Interesting things happen every day and I want to observe and describe them to our listeners. That’s my first thought when I intend to study and write about something.”

3 journalists with 3 different working styles, but they have made a name for themselves among VOV’s listeners. They have now assumed different positions in VOV: Minh is Deputy Director of the Culture-Life-Science-Education Channel, Phong is Deputy Director of the Mekong Delta Bureau and Tuyen is Deputy Director of the National Assembly Channel. What they have in common is creativity in bringing listeners articles of great social impact. This is also the criteria based on which VOV voted for poet journalist Tran Dang Khoa, deputy Secretary of VOV’s Party Committee and journalist Uong Ngoc Dau, Director of the News and Current Affairs Channel. Journalist Nguyen Chu Nhac, President of VOV’s Journalists’ Association, said: “Since its establishment, VOV has had many generations of journalists and reporters who have contributed significantly to Vietnamese journalism. VOV has established an annual award to honor its outstanding journalists.”

Over the last 69 years, VOV has become a multimedia organization bringing the voice of the Party and the state to the public and promoting Vietnam’s image throughout the world.
