Nguyen Thi Khuyen comes from Yen Bai province (now Lao Cai province). When she was 31, Khuyen started a business supplying stone powder. After establishing a foothold in the market, in 2018, she expanded into the production of non-fired bricks and tiles.
“The biggest turning point for me was realizing that I needed to step out of my comfort zone. I didn’t hesitate to learn new technologies and take on challenges to build a building material brand. I innovated in tile production and applied modern, non-fired technology, which reduces environmental impact while enhancing product durability and aesthetics,” Khuyen said.
Nasaki Vietnam invested in a modern system of machinery and factories, with five raw tile production lines and one synchronized painting line, fully automated with advanced technology from the Vietnam Institute of Technology. Production capacity increased from 2 million pieces in 2018 to 5.5 million in 2024.
The company now offers eight types of non-fired tiles, including wave tiles, faux stone flat tiles, plain beveled flat tiles, textured flat tiles, Terrazzo bricks, and more, with over a thousand colors inspired by Asian, European, and classic styles.
Nasaki Vietnam uses advanced wet pressing technology from Japan, a non-fired process that replaced traditional firing methods. This breakthrough produces tiles with high durability, water resistance, and strength while contributing to environmental protection. In 2023, Nasaki’s products were recognized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as national-level exemplary rural industrial products.
“I chose to move step by step, focusing on quality to build trust with customers and partners. We see challenges not as obstacles but as motivation to innovate and grow. Our motto is ‘use creativity to surpass experience and speed to surpass scale, and always put the customer at the center of all activities.’ Without innovation, one will surely be left behind,” Khuyen said.

Under Khuyen’s leadership, Nasaki has not only dominated the domestic market with hundreds of distributors across northern Vietnam but has also expanded internationally. Nasaki products are now sold in Cambodia and are gradually entering markets such as Malaysia, Japan, Oceania, and the European Union. Nasaki is also aiming for markets in Dubai and the United Arab Emirates, where the construction industry is booming.
“Ms. Khuyen has a deep understanding of the market, which allows her to anticipate and respond effectively to customer demands. She continuously innovates by adopting new technologies and improving manufacturing processes, making her products unique and meeting diverse market demands,” said Le Dung, CEO of DGROUP Human Resource Training and Development Joint Stock Company and Chair of the Hanoi Young Entrepreneurs Club of which Khuyen is a member.
Khuyen regularly connects with other women entrepreneurs who share experience and support each other’s economic development.
“I hope my business model will inspire other women who nurture dreams of starting a business. If you have a dream, take action to turn it into reality. Success comes to those who are not afraid to innovate, who challenge themselves, and who remain determined and persistent,” she said.
