Outgoing PM Boris Johnson and former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak called on the Conservative Party to unite behind Truss to steer the UK out of current crises.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen congratulated Truss and called on London and Brussels to abide by bilateral agreements.
She said on Twitter that the EU and the UK are partners facing many challenges from climate change to the Ukraine conflict. She said she looks forward to a constructive relationship.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz congratulated Truss on being elected Prime Minister and said he is looking forward to cooperation between the UK and Germany in these challenging times.
The Prime Ministers of Ireland and Poland congratulated Truss and expressed their hope for continued bilateral and global cooperation.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Truss on her new role and said he is confident that the India-UK Comprehensive Strategic Partnership will be strengthened under her leadership.
