At a press conference on Monday, coach Park said the UAE is really a strong team, and tonight’s match will be difficult for Vietnam. But he said the UAE is not the strongest team that Vietnam has ever faced, such as the Iranian and Iraqi team.

Coach Park is suspended for the match after he was given a second yellow card in the 2-1 win over Malaysia last Friday in Dubai. He said he still has a plan which will be used to help Vietnam win this match. His assistant Lee Young-jin will take charge of the team.

Vietnam with 17 points needs only a draw to make history. A loss with minimum result could also be enough as they may qualify as the best second-placed team.

Meanwhile the hosts, on 15 points, must win to take top place and qualify, otherwise they would be ousted.
