Delegates discussed an overall picture of Vietnam to 2030 with a vision to 2045. They addressed theoretical and practical problems that have arisen in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern key economic region during their industrialization and modernization process.
High on the agenda were also international lessons and recommendations of policies and models for Vietnam.

Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Nguyen Xuan Thang said: “We should start with the new approach of the documents of 13th National Party Congress concerning national development in the new period and take in to account the impacts of global developments, the Revolution 4.0, and climate change. It’s necessary to analyze the role of industrialization and modernization as an important method to achieve our goals of renewal, integration, and rapid and sustainable development.”
The workshop was co-organized by the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh City.
