NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan attended the ceremony. Head of the NA Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc said the Press Awards have raised public awareness of the National Assembly.

"Press agencies are a bridge connecting the National Assembly and the voters," he said, "I think the best way to connect the NA with people is via media and journalists who consistently report real-time information to the public and deliver voters’ feedback to the NA." 

The 43 award winners were selected from 500 entries from 51 press agencies across the country on topics related to activities of the legislature and reflecting the aspirations and proposals of people nationwide. Journalists from VOV won one first prize, one third prize, and one consolation prize.
