The three-day festival is underway on the beach of Nguyen Tat Thanh street, Thanh Khe Dong and Xuan Ha wards.  

There are folk activities of a fishing village, such as knitting nets, carrying fish, Bai Choi singing and sports activities including a paragliding performance and motor-surfing.

The whale worship festival is part of the cultural identity of Vietnam’s central and southern coastal localities, which has been preserved and passed down through the generations. Participants pray for plentiful fish, safe voyages, and peace for the nation.
