War Invalids and Martyrs Day marked

(VOVWORLD) - Various activities have been held to mark Vietnam's 72nd War Invalids’ and Martyrs’ Day.

During Monday's visit to Phu Tho province’s Sanatorium for Revolutionary Contributors, Minister of Home Affairs Le Vinh Tan  reiterated the Party and State’s care for those who devoted their lives to the revolution. He said he hopes war invalids will overcome their difficulties to have a better life.

The same day, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Mau Diep visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers under treatment at Lang Giang Sanatorium in Bac Giang province.

Mr. Diep asked the sanatorium to take better care of war invalids and sick soldiers who he said should live up to the spirit and virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers to continue a healthy and useful life.

On Monday night, Ninh Binh launched a ceremony to raise fund for revolutionary contributors.

Establised two years ago, the fund has raised 3.6 million USD. At the launch night, 370,000 USD were mobilized.
