(VOVworld)-Voice of Vietnam (VOV) on Monday officially launched the Health and Food Safety channel on FM 89 MHz. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and Minister of Public Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien.

The program, aired from 6am to 11pm daily, initially covers Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh, and Can Tho cities.

“We should do every thing possible to improve public knowledge of food safety and encourage the entire society to join hands to protect people’s health”, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam stressed.

“The launch of the new channel on Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27) represents our tribute to health workers. If approved by the Government, we’ll expand some channels to delve into other pressing issues. These programs can reach the audiences in remote and island areas”, said VOV President Nguyen The Ky.
