VOV President visits Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery

(VOVWORLD) -Voice of Vietnam (VOV) President Do Tien Sy on Wednesday paid his respects to heroes and martyrs, and visited President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery in Ha Giang province.

During the visit which marked the 75th Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27), Mr. Do Tien Sy and his entourage offered incense and flowers and spent a minute of silence in memory of the great merits of the martyrs who heroically sacrificed themselves to defend the Fatherland.

His note in the golden guestbook reads “We respectfully remember the generations of predecessors, the heroic martyrs who were laid to rest at Vi Xuyen cemetery.” “Cadres, party members and employees of the Voice of Vietnam are committed to studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's example and the sacrifices of heroes and martyrs."

Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery is the resting place of 1,853 martyrs who sacrificed their lives while defending the nation.
