The event is an occasion to review VOV’s glorious journey, acknowledge the contributions of generations of VOV journalists, and reaffirm VOV’s commitment to the Vietnamese journalism development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, member of the Party Central Committee and VOV President Do Tien Sy recalled that President Ho Chi Minh visited the Voice of Vietnam six times and reminded its staff, journalists, editors, and technicians, to overcome all hardships to safeguard the voice of the Party and Government in all circumstances.

Upholding President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, VOV has constantly strived to be a vanguard soldier on the ideological and cultural front, contributing to national construction and defense, and affirming its position as one of the Party and State’s leading press agencies.

VOV President Do Tien Sy said: “Entering a new era of national growth, VOV is undergoing strong transformation to improve its multi-platform and multimedia communication capabilities, with digital transformation being the key. VOV’s strategic orientations are to develop high-quality, in-depth, and humanistic content, strengthen digital transformation to meet new public demands, and build a team of elite, multi-skilled journalists capable of responding swiftly to emerging issues.”

At the gathering, senior journalists who played key roles in VOV’s history recalled the proud traditions and noble mission of journalism. Young journalists expressed their thoughts and initiated ideas for the development of journalism in the new era.

On this occasion, VOV's Journalists' Association awarded the "For the Cause of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press" insignia to 36 journalists for their profound contributions to the development of Vietnam’s revolutionary journalism.
