The delegation is led by Sen. Lt. Gen. Phan Van Giang – member of the Party Central Committee and the Central Military Commission’s standing board, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, and Deputy Minister of National Defense. During this trip, the two sides are set to share experience in military advancement, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. They will review the outcomes of bilateral cooperation in the recent past and work out measures to promote goal-oriented defense ties, thereby further developing the friendship and mutual trust between the states, as well as the military and people of Vietnam and Singapore. International and regional issues of shared concern will also be raised for discussion.
