Mr. Phuc’s participation illustrates the support and cooperation of ASEAN and Vietnam, as ASEAN Chair in 2020, with the G20 bloc in COVID-19 response. It helps Vietnam elevate its world status as an active member who is responsible for resolving global issues.  

This year’s summit will be held online under the theme “Realizing Opportunities of the 21st Century for All”. Discussion will focus on “Empowering people,” “Safeguarding the planet,” and “Shaping new frontiers”.
