Vietnam’s exports see positive signs

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said seafood exports in the first five months of the year earned 2.8 billion USD, 10.4 percent more than last year.

More than 300,000 tons of seafood was produced in May, making the total output of the period 5 percent higher than last year.

The Vietnam Cashew Association said the cashew sector hopes to earn 3.3 billion USD from exports.  The cashew export turnover to the European market will reach an estimated 1 billion USD, a 31 percent market share. 2017 is the 11th consecutive year Vietnam has led the world in cashew exports.
