(VOVWORLD) - In 2022, Vietnam’s retail e-commerce revenue reached 16.4 billion USD, accounting for 7.5% of total consumer goods and services revenue in Vietnam.

With a growth rate of 20% each year, Vietnam is recognized by eMarketer as one of the top five countries in the world for e-commerce growth.

Ha Anh Tuan, a member of the Vietnam E-commerce Association’s Executive Board, said: “We can reach around 20 million customers through e-commerce platforms, and the number of customers is likely to reach 30 million with the popularity of social media channels such as Tiktok."

"Vietnam’s e-commerce market is expected to increase by 50 % in 2023. With Vietnam’s GDP in 2023 forecast to be 6.5 %, the e-commerce market growth rate must be more than 50 % accordingly,” he added.
