(VOVworld) – Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang visited the Germany-Vietnam Association during his visit to Germany on Tuesday.

During talks with association president Siefried Sommer, the two sides discussed the association’s performance in recent years, particularly its activities to show solidarity with Vietnamese people in the struggle for national maritime sovereignty. The two sides discussed ways to attract young people to the association’s activities, to promote people-to-people diplomacy between the two countries, and to coordinate efforts to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2015. Minister Hoang thanked the association’s leaders and German friends for supporting Vietnam in recent years. He also reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy on defending its maritime sovereignty through peaceful measures.
