Vietnamese team takes first place at International Army Games semi-finals

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s tank team won the first place in the first round of the semi-finals of the 2019 International Army Games on Sunday on the outskirts of Moscow.

The Uganda team finished second. It is almost certain that the Vietnam tank team will reach the finals but they must wait for Tuesday’s matches of the remaining four teams in Group 2—Uzbekistan, Laos, Cuba and Kuwait.

This year the Vietnam People's Army sent 8 teams to participate in 8 different events. This is the first time Vietnam has sent such a large contingent—127 officers and soldiers—to military games abroad and the second time it has participated in these Army Games.
