The team competed against Uzbekistan, Cuba, and Uganda in the finals of Group 2. This is the second year Vietnam has sent a delegation to the event. Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, said: “I’m very pleased with this result. I hope the soldiers will always try hard to get a good result in such contests, and be the infantry’s attack force to protect the country. The games are an opportunity for us to deepen our knowledge and tighten relationships with other participating countries.” 

Twenty-four countries participated in the biathlon this year. Group 1 will compete in a final round on Saturday.
