Nguyen Van Dung of Son La city said he believes the elected cadres are ethical, competent, and outstanding. Cu Bich Thuan of Ho Chi Minh city said she hopes the new leadership will be capable of making Vietnam stronger and more prosperous. Nong Thi Ha of the Tay ethnic group in Lao Cai province said she hopes the new Party Central Committee will create breakthroughs for Vietnam in all fields promoting renovation in high-quality human resource development, science and technology, and especially sustainable poverty reduction for ethnic minorities. Thanh Thi Ky, head of the Department of Ethnic Affairs of Binh Thuan province’s People's Council, said local ethnic people hope that the new Party Central Committee will come up with prompt resolutions to promote Vietnam’s sustainable development. Party member Nguyen Van Phu of District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, said the 13th National Party Congress has selected the most outstanding leaders to help Vietnam move forward.
